As Executive Director, it’s my job to increase community awareness of KVHS and to keep the funds coming in. We rely primarily upon municipal contracts and donations to keep our doors open as we service twenty-two communities here in Central Maine. In order to keep those donations coming in, we must seek every opportunity to tell our story. We must make sure that all of our stakeholders in our twenty-two communities are fully aware of our efforts on behalf of the animals. Also as Executive Director I oversee the operation of the shelter and shelter staff. This part of the job seems pretty easy since I have an AWESOME staff!  With more than 3,000 animals coming through our doors annually, our staff is kept very busy seven days a week. Having been a friend of KVHS for over twenty years I feel truly honored to have the opportunity to serve as Executive Director.
