✨It's Volunteer Appreciation Month✨We're putting the spotlight on KVHS Volunteer, Christine! Christine is a rockstar dog walker who always ensures our shelter dogs get long walks and lots of love! Here's what Christine has to say about volunteering: "I have been volunteering two days a week, sometimes more, sometimes less, for almost 10 years at KVHS. It’s so important to me to be one of the people in these dogs’ lives that treat them with kindness and fairness. There are many dogs that I grew attached to over the years and I still think of them on a regular basis. It’s also very important to me to be a member of the KVHS family. I appreciate the love and dedication that the staff provides to the animals and nothing makes me more happy than when one of the staff asks me to work with a particular dog. It is an honor to be thought of as part of the team. I highly recommend volunteering , as it is a job that brings many rewards!"Thank you, Christine! ❤ ... See MoreSee Less

✨It's Volunteer Appreciation Month✨We're putting the spotlight on KVHS Foster, Abbie! Here's what Abbie had to say about fostering: "I started fostering because I saw so many animals without a home and I thought, well I have a home so they can stay with me! Fostering is one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. Being a tiny animal’s only hope, and being able to make a difference in their life/qualify of life is the reason I foster. Over the years I’ve adopted quite a few of my fosters and I love and cherish all my babies each and every day! I love exposing my children to the fostering experience so they can learn kindness and compassion for animals. Fostering is definitely bittersweet especially on the days you drop off your babies for the final time, but knowing they’re going to amazing new homes, makes it possible. "Thank you, Abbie! ...
